Fashion Market Levels

by

There are six different fashion market levels, at the top of the fashion market is Haute Couture. This is the most expensive and is highly sought after, couture clothing can only be made in Paris, France.

Next is luxury clothing, luxury clothing is not as expensive as couture but is still pricey but anyone can buy it and it is made from quality materials. At the moment the largest consumer of luxury clothing is China.

Diffusion line comes after, this is when brands such as Marc jacobs a luxury brand will have another line like Marc by Marc jacobs which is cheaper. this is so people who can't afford the luxury product can still buy something with the designers name on it and feel elite but without lowering the price of the main line.

Bridge branding are stores that are more expensive than high street but below luxury, these offer good quality clothing at a less expensive price but still not affordable for the masses.

High street is next which is more affordable than bridge branding and off a lesser quality but still good.

Economy is at the bottom, these are cheap clothing which is often made of a questionable quality. This is consumed by people who want cheap clothes that are deemed as fast fashion.
